What you need before your first campaign

An ad account, a page, a payment method and working tracking. Skip one and you’re guessing with real money.

Four pieces, nothing more

Before you think about audiences, budget or hooks, get four things in place. A Meta ad account, inside a Business Manager you own. A Facebook Page or Instagram business account to run your ads from. A valid payment method on file with Meta. And tracking that reports what happens after the click.

Each piece matters. No account of your own, and you lose your history when you switch agencies. No page, and you can’t run anything. No valid payment, and your campaign stops in the middle of the night. No tracking, and the algorithm optimizes blind.

Your account always belongs to you

It’s the simplest rule, and the most often forgotten. Create the ad account and Business Manager yourself, under your own name. Then give access to whoever works on it: an agency, a freelancer, a tool. Access can be removed. An account someone else created is much harder to get back.

Adwize connects the same way: through the official Meta connection, with no token to paste. The access you grant is used only for the actions you ask for, and you can revoke it anytime from Meta or from Adwize.

Tracking: the Pixel and the Conversions API

The Pixel is a tracker on your website. It tells Meta about page views, add-to-carts and purchases. The Conversions API does the same from your server, so browser blockers affect it less. Most serious accounts send the same events through both.

Without tracking, you can run ads but you can’t optimize them. The algorithm learns from what happened. If it gets no purchase data, it learns clicks, not sales. That’s the most common reason a campaign “spends and brings nothing back.”

What only you can prepare

Two things nobody can write for you. Your offer in one sentence: what you sell, to whom, and why they’d pick you. And a monthly budget you can keep up for several months without worrying. Learning costs money, and a budget cut after ten days learns nothing.

Everything else (structure, audiences, formats, hooks) gets built in the conversation. You review it before anything goes live.
